På Söndagen efter en utekväll var Ida och Sofie superkvinnor och gick och hämtade vår hyrbil vi skulle ha en vecka. Vår första resa skulle gå till St. Augustine som är ”den äldsta, kontinuerligt ockuperade, europeiska etablerade staden och hamnen i kontinentala USA” för att använda wikipedias ord, medans St. Augustine själv föredrar att beskriva sig som USAs äldsta stad. Det trevliga med St. Augustine är inte bara att staden har en historisk aspekt, den råkar dessutom sitta på en riktigt fin fin strand något som vi såg till att ta tillvara på genom att ligga och steka oss och leka i vågorna större delen av dagen för att sedan spendera någon timme i den mycket charmiga gamla stad som fanns. On Sunday, after a night out Ida and Sofie acted as superwomens and went and picked up our rental car that we would have for one week. Our first trip was to St. Augustine which happens to be ”the oldest, continuously occupied, European-established city and port in the continental United States” to use Wikipedia’s words, while St. Augustine itself prefers to describe itself as America’s oldest city. Best thing with St. Augustine is not only that the city has a historical aspect, it happens to also have a really nice and extremly beautiful beach as we made ​​sure to take advantage of by lying there on the sand and play in the waves most of the day and then spend a few hours in the very charming old city that it was. It was a perfectday and I let the slide show below speak for themselves:
